Warren R. “Groundhog” Jacoby, 77, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, January 2 at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Johanna (Ozakuski) Jacoby. Born in Bath, he was the son of the late Russell Mann and Hilda Marie Sodl (birth mother), and Carrie (Green) Jacoby. Warren served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years and was a member of the American Legion. He was a genuinely honest, award winning car salesman of nearly 50 years; through which he touched generations of families with his charm and humor. He was a devoted Christian, dog-lover, family man, and a cherished pillar of the community who will be missed by all. In addition to his wife Johanna, Warren is survived by his daughters: Debra Smith and her husband Jeff of Florida, Cindy Koehler and her husband Scott of Whitehall and Michele Jacoby of Bethlehem; his son: Thomas Malozi and his wife Remy of Allentown; his sisters: Dolores Barndt and her husband Harold of N.C., Marcene Roth and her husband Donald of Whitehall; his brother: Russell “Buddy” Jacoby, Jr. of Wyoming and Donald Jacoby and his wife Carol of Moore Twp.; 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and 4 great grandchildren. Private services were entrusted to the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, honored provider for the Pennsylvania Cremation Society.
