Thomas S. Delvecchio II, passed away peacefully at home Saturday (5-25-2024), he is survived by his loving wife and caregiver the former Mary J. Jenkins and dog Zoe. Also surviving are a son Thomas III, parents Tom and Theresa Delvecchio, siblings Terry and husband Don Fuller, Lori Barone and partner Leo Sandy, Mark and Kim; nephews Corey, Flynn, Mark & Domenick, niece Abbey, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Tom and Mary Delvecchio, Paul and Mary Cawley.
Tom was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved his dirt bikes and had been riding since he was 7 years old, he loved his Mustangs of which he had quite a few. He worked his career in Automotive and was manager for 20 years at Advance Auto Parts. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School class of ’85 and played football for the Dunmore Bucks. He never missed a game even after graduating.
Tom was a very Easy going man, he could make anyone laugh or smile no matter the circumstance. He will be greatly missed by his wife and family and all who knew him. They don’t make them like him anymore.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday June 8, 2024 at 11:00am in Devine Mercy Church, 312 Davis Street, Scranton. A visitation will be held in the church from 10:00am until the time of mass.
