Sheila Claire Weeks, 77, of Furlong, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 surrounded by her family and friends. She was a great wife, mother and friend. She is the widow of the late Daniel Harlow Weeks. Dan and she were for married 50 years.
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Shea Delaney. She was active in the Warrington Athletic Association, Meals on Wheels, State Street Players, Bridge Club, The Neuman Center and was a Lay Minister at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Doylestown and was an active participant in many other charitable organizations. The saying “A life lived in the service of others is a life not lived in vain” exemplified how she led her life.
Surviving are four daughters Lynne Scott (John), Betsy Malatesta (Will), Paula Lewis (Jeff) and Carolyn Weeks (Shelley); a son Daniel H. Weeks (Leslie); two sisters Helen Delaney and Paula Healy; a brother Jerry Delaney; 12 grandchildren Courtney Webb, Jes Scott, Adam Scott, Emma Scott, Julia Weeks, Ava Weeks, Ben Malatesta, Ali Malatesta, Chadwick Lewis, Clayton Lewis, Shea Marie Lewis and Finn Mason Epstein-Weeks.
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 10:30am in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. A luncheon will follow after mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Neuman Center, 1965 Deer Run Dr., Jamison, PA 18929.
