Samuel Ciervo, 92 of Butler peacefully passed away on December 28 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown, Pa. He is survived by his daughters Vikki Anderson and Rose Bachmann both of whom live in Pennsylvania, and his son Sam and his wife Joanne of Montclair, his sister Marie Choida and her husband Tony of Toms River, and his brother John Falcone of Maryland. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Cailin O’Connor, Clare and Emily Ciervo, and Keri Curtis, as well as by his great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his extended loving family. He has been reunited with his devoted wife of 61 years, Agnes, who pre-deceased him in 2011.
Although born in Pennsylvania, he spent his young adult days in Garfield, and the majority of his adult married life in Pompton Lakes. During WW II he drove a munitions truck in France supplying soldiers at the front lines with much needed ammunition. He was a hardworking man of many talents who loved sports and could make people laugh, even close to his demise.
A private memorial service is being planned. Memorial donations in his name may be sent to Lehigh Valley Hospice of Allentown, Penn.
