Richard Murray was one of the best friends I’ve ever had. He was a such good person and easy to like. He was also a great employee when I was his supervisor in the years he worked at the University of Colorado at Denver. He was so proud of earning his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Public Administration. It was an amazing accomplishment! He loved the outdoors and we had great times together in the Colorado mountains, especially driving up in his Jeep. We also loved target shooting together. He was an excellent rifle shot, and earned the nickname “Rifleman” among some of his friends. Richard was also a great musician. He never stopped encouraging and supporting my wife Helen in pursuing her musical talents. We’ll remember and miss our friend Richard for the rest of our lives.
