Naomi Sarah Knauss, 80, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, Feb 3, 2024 at New Eastwood Care & Rehabilitation Center, Easton.
Born in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Pierce and Dorothy Kephart Knauss, she was a graduate of Liberty High School and attended classes at the University of Hawaii. She worked as a CNA, a child care worker and a Nana, looking after all of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Rosemont Fire Club and the Democrat Club. Nana loved to crochet colorful hats and blankets for the elderly in nursing homes and new born babies. She celebrated life by wearing sparkles and dancing all night long to the Weekenders. Nana enjoyed baking cookies with the grand kids.
Surviving are daughters Deirde Hersh and husband Andrew, Vicki Yeh and husband Andrew; grandchildren Kirsten Beery, Paige Priestas, Miranda Yeakel, Lance Priestas, Ty Hersh; great grand children Atom Beery Aiden Beery and cousin Lars Knauss and wife.
She was preceded in death by a son Richard Toth, 2001; and brothers Gregory Knauss, 1992 and Pierce Knauss, 2023.
Naomi’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and aids at the New Eastwood Care & Rehabilitation Center. They appreciate all the care for their mom and family during this difficult time.
