Mary Putzulu passed away Wednesday June 12, 2024. She was born February 25, 1963 to Dominick and Fran Sylvester. Surviving Mary is her husband Michael Putzulu, and her five children Thomas, Melissa, Michael, Jennifer, and Britney. As well as a numerous amount of grandchildren, who all got to spend valuable time with their Grandma.
Mary was a loving, caring person who would open her home to anyone in need. Her place was a place of comfort, where you could be yourself and not be judged. She had so many friends and loved communicating with them. She could spend her whole day talking on the phone. She loved being on social media posting hundred of photos, and how much she loves her family. She loved taking pictures and would call herself a photographer. She would take a hundred photos to capture one moment. We are so glad she did because it has given us so many memories to look back and reminisce. She loved animals, especially her dog Rockko. They were so inseparable that he needed a sitter if she were to go somewhere he was not able to go. Otherwise she would take him everywhere, she spoiled him and had so many clothes and hats for him she would dress him up and take him for walks everyday. Mary considered herself a wild child and loved rock and roll. She loved tie dye and all colors but you would normally see Mary in black with a skull or guitar embellished shirt. She loved Jon Bon Jovi and Elvis Presley.
She was a very strong woman, even during weak times. No matter what struggles came her way, she was always able to power through. She always had faith, she always had a way, she always had the answers, she was a mom. She has overcome so many insurmountable obstacles. Her strength is admired by her children. She was always there with the biggest mom hugs that just felt so relieving and could squeeze away any pain. Mary was always thinking of her family. Planning ahead for holidays that are months away and she was always prepared. She was always thoughtful in everything she did. She spoke so highly of her father and mother and expressed her love for them daily. Her wish was to be with her father in her passing. Thank you to everyone who helped make that wish possible. Mary will be cremated and her remains are to be buried with her father, Dominick Sylvester at Cathedral Cemetery 1708 Oram St. Scranton, PA 18504.
