Lester A. Green, Sr., 85, succumbed to Alzheimer’s Thursday, April 27, 2017 in Nazareth, PA, and was a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley. Lester was predeceased by his parents, Erastus and Mamie (Beer) Green. Lester served in the US Army and was a Purple Heart Veteran of the Korean War. After serving in the Army, Lester pursued his two passions. He learned how to fly and owned his own plane for many years. His other passion was for building. Lester owned and operated Aspen Quality Homes and was a successful builder in the Lehigh Valley until retiring in 2008. Lester was an energetic, caring, generous, eccentric, complex, brilliant man who if anyone asked “what happened to Les” the response was to be “he faded away”, and due to Alzheimer’s, that is exactly what happened. He will be missed, never forgotten, and forever loved by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vicky (Hamilton) Green, Nazareth; daughter, Maryann Green, Salisbury Twp.; son, Lester A. Green, Jr., Catasauqua; four grandchildren; Veronica Mack of Catasauqua; Peter Burkhart, Whitehall; Suzanne (Tim) Williams Schnecksville; Jennifer (Chris) Bechtel, Pottstown, and seven great grandchildren. Services: There are no public services, as the family is honoring Lester’s wishes. We choose to remember him as the lively character he was. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Lester A. Green, Sr. to the Alzheimers Association , P.O.
