Julie T. Evans, 89, formerly of 404 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant passed away Wednesday morning, July 25, 2018 at Abington Manor Nursing Home, South Abington Twp., where she was a resident. She and her husband Thomas E. Evans Jr. celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.
Born in Blawnox, Pa, Julie was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Edna F. Koslosky Terrill. She attended St. Francis School of Nursing, Pittsburgh and worked as Nurse Anesthetist at the former Mercy Hospital, Scranton. Julie was able to carry on a conversation on many topics, but her knowledge of medicine was most impressive until her death. In addition to her nursing career, she was fantastic seamstress, an accomplished fine artist and was renowned for her pies.
Besides her parents, Julie was predeceased by her brother, Donald Terrill, Virginia Beach, Va and his wife Rebecca and her sister, Margaret O’Connor and husband James J. O’Connor, MD, Clark’s Summit and her mother-in-law, Jean Evans.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother, James Terrill and wife Jean. Irvine, Pa, her stepson and wife, Ted and Karen Schweitzer, Harleysville, Pa, a granddaughter and husband and 2 great grandchildren. Julie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
