Jacqueline Summer Newton, 39, of Wilkes Barre, passed away September 8, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes Barre.
Born in Dallas, Texas daughter of Renee Marie Newton, Plymouth and the late Arthur David Newton, she was a graduate of the Greater Nanticoke Area High School. She was a stay at home mom that loved her daughter Adira and two sons Anakin and Nicky and her boyfriend of 13 years Ricky more than anything. She enjoyed camping art, remodeling projects, landscaping for charity, puzzles and listening to music. She always found the light in any amount of darkness and strived to make the most of of live no matter the struggles. She was a kind, caring, compassionate and always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Everyone who met her loved her. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are a daughter Adira Shirlee Newton; a son Anakin Kosek and Nicholas Kosek; sisters Melissa Cabrera and husband Kevin, Dallas, PA, Christina Williamson and husband Craig, Ohio; a brother Keith Johnson and girlfriend Gina, Kingston; her mother Renee Newton and boyfriend Kevin Lyons Plymouth, grandmother Joyce Risor, Kingston; Grandfather Arthur Newton, Dallas, PA ,; her boyfriend of 13 years Ricardo Stroude, Wilkes Barre; her longtime friend a she loved like a grandfather Thomas Romanowski; several nieces and nephews and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father Arthur Newton, paternal grandmother Karen Newton, maternal grandfather Jack Riser.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

sorry mamma Jackie you was a very loving mommy, to all of your 3 children, and never stop saying that you always love them, and that they were your meaning of living, also thank you for being a very loving tender step-mommy to Kayla, she will always love you and the laughs and the play times that you and Kayla had together including the dancing, the going for walks, the sleepovers the taking the dogs: jack and trip for walks, and all the loving that you always gave to Kayla, im so sorry, i didn’t have the chance to tell you all of these, but we got to live it with you and felt it with you and enjoy all of those beautiful moments with you. pleas look up for us from where ever you are in heaven mama Jackie, we love you… Javier Ortiz
