Holly Ann Angus, 70, of Jermyn, passed away on October 28, 2016 after a short battle with cancer.
Holly was born in Albany, N.Y. to Hadley and Louise Rasmuson on October 14, 1946. She graduated from Guilderland High School in 1964. She earned her CDE from Hudson Valley Community College in 1992. She taught Head Start in Albany, N.Y., before moving to Pennsylvania in 1994. She then owned and operated her own sewing shop before retiring in 2010.
Holly was always found doing crafts, reading, sewing and spending time with her family and friends. Holly found joy in making quilts or handmade gifts for friends and family. Holly had a huge heart and opened her heart and home to over 550 foster children throughout her life. Her children, foster children and grandchildren were the lights of her life.
Holly is preceded in death by her parents, Hadley and Louise; son, John Richard Instone.
Holly is survived by her husband, Wayne, of Jermyn; Five daughters, Judi (Tim) Rozelle of Clarks Summit; Jean Hanby, Schaghticoke, N.Y.; Jackie (Ted) Lee of Taylor; Joanna (Dan) Pechal of West Pittston; Cassandra Callan of Simpson; and Two sons, Daniel and Jacob Angus of Jermyn. Two Brothers, Anders (Beverly) Rasmuson of Clinton, Mass., Larry (Beverly) Rasmuson of Largo, Fl. Eleven grandchildren, Amanda Rozelle of Cedarville, Ohio; Nicholas Vriniotis of Schaghticoke, NY; Christopher Rozelle of Bloomsburg; Ashley Rozelle of Clarks Summit; Dan Pechal of Swoyersville; Elizabeth Pechal of West Pittston; Joshua Rozelle of Clarks Summit; Andrew Pechal of West Pittston; Akira & Isobel Hanby of Schaghticoke, NY and Melody Recker, Simpson.
A Memorial will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 7pm at North Valley Baptist Church, 1300 Old Plank Road, Jermyn.
The family has asked that all donations be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 Williams St. Dunmore, Pa 18512.
