Harold William Reber, of North Heidelberg Township, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on October 26, 2014 at the Laurel Center, Hamburg, PA.
Born on July 30, 1947 in Bernville, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert William Reber and Ella Priscilla (Nye) Reber Katzaman.
He was a graduate from Conrad Weiser High School class of 1965. He worked for Quaker Alloys, Dale H. Reber Inc., and Quality Drive Away Company. He loved classic cars, auctions and flea markets.
He is survived by his former spouse, Suzanne (Mills) Simpson of Overton, NV, and his three daughters: Jodi, wife of Lynn Eberly of Wernersville; Patricia Camacho of Richland; and Melissa, wife of Anthony Shumaker of Bridgewater, VA; 10 grandchildren: Justin Eberly, Erika Shumaker, Katelyn, wife of Justin Schaeffer, Joshua Fidler, Benjamen Shumaker, Alexandria Fidler, Emily Shumaker, Jonathan Camacho, Melony Shumaker, and Joseph Camacho; step-father Norman Katzaman of Robesonia; sister, Faye, wife of George Ludwig, Jr. of Robesonia; and brother, Dale Reber, husband of Janice of Robesonia.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Evangelical Seminary, Zinn’s Commons, 121 S. College Street, Myerstown, PA. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Evangelical Seminary. Cremation arrangements handled by Strauch Funeral Home, Honored Provider for the Pennsylvania Cremation Society.
