Guy Allen Black Jr. went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday July 14th at approx. 2:38 am.. He was in the Rose View Center in Williamsport Pa. under nursing care and had been ill for a month. Most recently he had resided in Woolrich Pa,,, and Sunbury Pa.
Guy was born in Harrisburg Pa and spent most of his 79 years in the Sunbury / Northumberland area of central Pa,, and some time In California.
Guy was the son of Arwilda J Black Malesich and Guy A Black Sr… Guy is survived by his sister, JoAnn Simpson and her husband Charlie of Ocoee Fl,,, a brother David Krull and his wife Carol of Granite City Illinois,, a brother John Malesich of Mount Joy, Pa,, a great aunt, Ruby Keller of the Sunbury, Pa area,, and 3 daughters and 1 son living in Arizona and Pennsylvania.. Guy also had quite a few nieces and nephews.
Guy spent his work career in the transportation industry driving all forms of delivery trucks from coast to coast.. which was also one of his favorite pastimes.. His CB handle was “The Preacher man”. In his later years,, he was always proud to tell you he had walked 5/7 miles that day,,, or had chopped /split 2 cords of firewood the next day. Oh,,, and he also always was quick to tell you how much he enjoyed his favorite meal,,, homemade meatloaf, REAL mashed potatoes and gravy!! lol.
Although Guy was not currently affiliated with a church at the time of his passing,,, Guy enjoyed going to church, and read his Bible incessantly,, and his Bible is the MOST marked up,,, annotated Bible I have ever seen,,, and most importantly I KNOW Guy was a devout Christian and is sitting with the lord right now..
We ARE ALL hoping that Guy has found the peace in his new life,,, that somehow mostly seemed to elude him while he was here with us..
Rest in Sweet Peace Brother Guy….. We will never forget you,,, and we will always miss you…
