Geralda “Gerry” Souza DaCosta-Warmers age 81, beloved Mother of Marcio DaCosta of Union, KY and Marise Shearer of Friendsville, PA and formerly of Lady Lake, FL departed from life peacefully; at home in Friendsville, on Saturday, December 20, 2014. Gerry was predeceased by her husband, Damir; and 5 of her siblings: Aucilio, Alfredo, Maria de Lourdes, Eliza, Lia. Gerry is survived by her son and daughter, six grandchildren; Kyle Shearer, Monica DaCosta, Cassandra DaCosta, Khayla Shearer, Stephanie Costa, and Brendan DaCosta, and three sisters in Brasil; Aurora, Ercilia, and Denir. A burial service will be held at St. Thomas of Canterbury Cemetery, 44 Mailler Avenue, Cornwall, NY on Saturday, December 27, at 10:00am. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street,Endicott, NY 13760 on Saturday, December 27, at 7:00pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association, National Office, 255 N. Michigan Ave, Fl #17, Chicago, IL 60601 or ALZ.org in Memory of Geralda DaCosta-Warmers.
