Donald A. Loch, 69, a longtime resident of Covington Twp., died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Moses Taylor hospital, Scranton. His wife of 46 years is the former Linda L. Frable.
Born in Scranton son of the late Arthur and Marion Hutchinson Loch he attended North Pocono High School. Until his retirement in 2007 he was a mechanic for the former Wayne Crushed Stone and Coon Industries. He attended Spring Brook Congregational Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a proud, hard working man who loved his family unconditionally. He also enjoyed NASCAR and his beagles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Dena Loch; three sons Donald Jr. and wife Melissa, Dale, Ryan and wife Michelle; two sisters Sharon and Sandy; four brothers Wayne and wife Maryanne, Chris and wife Susie, Arthur, Bruce and wife Nancy, mother-in-law Margaret Frable, thirteen grandchildren and one great grand daughter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Michele Strausser who died in May of 2014, a brother Ronald and an infant sister Debra.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6pm in the Spring Brook Congregational Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Honored Provider for the Pennsylvania Cremation Society. Cremation took place at the Strauch Cremation Center and Crematory, Lehigh Twp.
