Deane Howard Shedd, 83 of New Hampton, New Hampshire, died peacefully in his sleep at the home of his son Anthony Shedd in Archbald, Pa. His wife is Joyce Stafford Shedd, the couple had been married 42 years.
Born in Concord, NH he was the son of the late Howard Hathorn Shedd and Elizabeth Brower Shedd. He was a veteran of the National Guard of New Hampshire and the United States Army.
He finished 3 Years at Providence Barrington Bible College until he left to pursue his passion for building. He started his own business and helped build Central Baptist Church in Franklin, NH and many homes throughout New Hampshire. He was also the Plant Engineer at Cramco Inc. Philadelphia, PA
Deane loved to go camping with his family, loved the ocean from the shore, wood working, building with his sons, reading a good book and spending quality time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters Deborah Anderson, Emily Shedd, Heather Shedd Sherry, Julie Shedd, sons Andrew Shedd, Anthony Shedd and Joseph Shedd; brothers David Shedd, Douglas Shedd; grandchildren Danielle Murphy, Peter Shedd, Jeremy Shedd, Elijah Shedd, Kalyssa Shedd, Ciara Shedd, Thomas Shedd, Addyson Shedd, Whittaker Sherry; great grandchildren Dakota Shedd, Isaiah Shedd, Marianna Shedd, Daniel Deane Shedd, Viola Shedd and Aiden Shedd.
He was preceded in death by sons Daniel and Lawrence Shedd and a brother Donald Shedd.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family (Joyce Shedd, 100 Crestwood Lane, Archbald, Pa 18403.
A celebration of life will be held Friday November 17 at 11am in the New Hampton Community Church, 14 Church Lane, New Hampton NH 03256, with Pastor Scott Mitchell to officate. Interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery, 73 Meredith Center Rd, Meredith, NH 03253. A reception will be held following the interment back at the church.
