I am so sorry for your loss,. I am going to miss Our conversations about Syracuse games and Bath fitter, he was the nicest guy I have ever met.

I met Clayton over 50 years ago when our family drove from Sacramento to Hayward to visit. We were cousins as his father was my father’s older brother. Clayton (his father called him Buddy) was a few years older than us, but he was well-behaved, respectful and friendly. His sister Joy liked to tell us jokes. I felt sorry for their family because their mom was sick. As we were getting ready to leave that day, Clayton gave me a beautiful gift I remember to this day – a set of small hunting knives in a glass case. They were special as the wooden handles had a compass built-in. Clayton later did leather-craft, with fine engraving and stitching. He gave a beautiful leather purse he made to my mother, who used and treasured it for many years. I lost contact with Clayton but he was always close to my heart.
