Barbara S. James, of Shavertown, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. She is the wife of John H. James. The couple was married 46 years.
Born in Wilkes Barre, the daughter of the late Earl and Evelyn Lizdas Schall she was a graduate of
Kingston High School and later went on to receive a Master Degree in Education from Bloomsburg University and Wilkes University. She taught in Wyoming Valley School District for many years, retiring in 2001.
Surviving in addition to her husband John (Jack) are two sisters, Sandy Kennedy, of Dunedin FL and Sewickley, PA and Elaine Schall of Kingston, PA and Dunedin, FL. Two daughters Kimberly Angelotti, Laguna Niguel, California and Kelly Szollosy, Exeter, PA.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to Pennsylvania Cremation Services, LLC.

We were so fortunate to be loved by her. She was the most loving and giving person I ever knew. She loved her friends, her students and her family the only way she knew how.
