Anne Bradley, of Clarks Summit, passed away Monday evening, August 24th, 2015, in Hospice of the Sacred Heart inpatient unit, Dunmore surrounded by family.
Born September 19, 1925 she was the only surviving child of John Vincent and Marie O’Hara Powderly. She and her husband, the late John Bradley, were married, July 22, 1947 in Scranton. Anne was a graduate of Central High School, Rosemont College and received a Master of Social Work from Marywood University in 1977. She was a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and enjoyed a successful career as a medical social worker at Moses Taylor Hospital until her retirement. Anne was a member of the Country Club of Scranton with her husband for many years and also a member of the Century Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Bradley, Peckville PA and Anne Gildea, Charlotte, NC; two sons, John Bradley with his wife Liz, Melbourne, Australia and Timothy Bradley, Baylors Lake PA; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mary Bridget (Molly) Gildea, and son in law, Lawrence David Gildea.
A service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, August 29th at 10:00 am, in Marion Chapel at Marywood University.
